While June is Pride Month across the country, the City of Roses stretches its celebration across two full months, June and July, making it one of the most sustained and spirited Pride seasons in the Pacific Northwest. Portland Pride 2026: "Made With Pride"
This year's official Portland Pride theme "Made With Pride", celebrates the creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community while honoring Pride’s roots in activism and advocacy. The theme reflects the artists, safe spaces, chosen families, and community connections built through collective effort and shared values. More than an event, Pride is something created with the community, not just for it. The message feels especially fitting for Portland’s inclusive and creative culture. Pride Northwest invites everyone to join the 2026 Portland Pride Waterfront Festival and Parade to celebrate visibility, connection, joy, and the ongoing legacy of Pride together.

Our annual Pride Market is back, and bigger than ever.
In collaboration with Pride Northwest, The Hotel Zags is proud to host the Pride Market 2026. This beloved event is one of our favorite ways to kick off the Pride season before the official Portland festivities get underway in July.
True to this year's "Made With Pride" theme, the market spotlights local LGBTQIA+ artists, vendors, and non-profits, the makers, dreamers, and doers who are the heartbeat of Portland's queer community. Browse handcrafted goods, connect with organizations doing meaningful work, and discover your new favorite artist, all in one afternoon.
This year, we're going bigger. While the market has traditionally taken place on our courtyard patio, we're activating the entire first floor of the hotel for 2026, giving us more space to welcome more vendors, more community, and more Pride.
The music will be provided by DJ Danimal and DJ MAWMIE, keeping the energy high all afternoon long.

Force of Nature: Gay PrideS of Portland Pageant
June 21, 2026 | 5:00–8:00 PM | Crystal Ballroom
Portland's legendary Pride pageant returns to the Crystal Ballroom for an electrifying evening of performance, glamour, and community. A must-attend for anyone who loves celebrating LGBTQIA+ artistry and self-expression, and just a quick ride from the hotel.
Oaks Park Pride
June 28
Head to the iconic Oaks Park for the 5th Annual Pride Rides at Oaks Park (12–7 PM), enjoy discounted rides, limited-edition treats, Pride-themed games and merch, community performers, a lively vendor fair, plus free cake and balloons, all wrapped in rainbow-filled fun. Then roll into the evening with a special-edition Pride Skate from 7–9:30 PM, bringing the energy, music, and community spirit to the rink.
And the celebration doesn’t stop there, the Oaks Park’s beloved “Gay Skate” nights take place every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, welcoming all ages and all vibes for a joyful Portland tradition.
Portland Pride Waterfront Festival & Parade
July 18–19, 2026 | Tom McCall Waterfront Park
The centerpiece of Portland's official Pride season, the Waterfront Festival runs both days along the beautiful Tom McCall Waterfront Park. On July 19th at 11:00 AM, the Portland Pride Parade takes over the streets in a massive, joyful procession that draws tens of thousands of participants and spectators. If you only make it to one event, make it this one. And with The Hotel Zags so centrally located, getting there and back couldn't be easier.

The answer is pure Portland practicality: the city intentionally schedules its largest Pride festivities in July to avoid conflicts with the beloved Portland Rose Festival, which takes over the city in June.
